Once the sixth season of this succesful British show was over, it was announced that there wouldn’t be a new generation. But that doesn’t mean that there won’t be a seventh seasons of ‘Skins’. E4 is currently undertaking the production of six new episodes in which we will be able to pick up the story of the adult lives of three of our favourite characters: Cassie (Hannah Murray), Cook (Jack O’Connell) and Effie (Kaya Scodelario).

The two episodes on Cassie’s life will be called “Skins Pure”, Cook’s “Skins Rise” and Effie’s “Skins Fire”. Some of the episodes will feature Kat Prescott (Emily) and Lily Loveless (Naomi) as guest stars.

These extra episodes have been written by the creators of the original series, Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain, with the cooperation of screen-writer Jess Brittain. The new “Skins” season will be different from the others, because it will focus on the life of the characters as twenty-something-year-olds, so it will be more adult and mature. The party is over for them as they enter the world of adult-hood and they will have to choose which path they want their lifes to go on.

Bryan Elsley, co-creator of the show, that the episodes will be set in the hard times of the recession during David Cameron’s government. He also admitted that he was very glad that he had got the chance to work with these young and talented actors that made his idea so popular in the first place.

Kaya Scodelario is excited about being able to breath life into the legendary Effie one last time and to be able to work with the “Skins” team and some of her old cast companions once more.
